Cents & Sensibility: Income Calculations in the Real World
- Registration Closed
One of the most common non-compliance findings is “household income above income limit upon initial occupancy.” In other words, “the household was never eligible.” This finding is usually the result of inaccurately calculated or insufficiently verified income. Determining household income can be particularly challenging when that income fluctuates. This session will include examples of how to determine income from pay stubs, analyzing third-party verifications, how to apply a verified raise (past and future) and what should be considered for individuals who work per diem and seasonal jobs.
Participants in this webinar will:
- Recognize patterns and changes in pay.
- Analyze multiple income calculations (year-to-date, hourly, pay stub average).
- Demonstrate due diligence in file documentation.
