After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the critical role of a strong marketing foundation in the success of a marketing program as it relates to and parallels the importance of a well-built home foundation
  • Identify the core components of a marketing foundation in the context of home building, including website development, branding, and content creation.
  • Explore effective marketing strategies and tactics to engage potential home buyers and convert them into leads.
  • Gain expertise in various marketing tools and techniques, such as public relations, social media, video production, design, email marketing, photography, and graphic design, and understand how they can be used to capture and engage today's consumers
  • Identify and foster the principles and best practices for crafting an effective marketing budget that aligns with the specific needs and goals of a home building marketing campaign
  • Analyze real-world case studies and examples that demonstrate successful marketing efforts in the home building industry, gaining insights into practical applications of the concepts covered in the course

Carol is the author of four books; her latest book, “Social Media Marketing for Your Business” is published by Builder Books. She is the creator of the nationally-ranked and award winning blog, www.AtlantaRealEstateForum.comSM, Atlanta’s most popular real estate news blog. Her Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio podcast, launched in 2011, features the movers and shakers in the Atlanta real estate industry, as well as nonprofits, attractions, and things to do on the Around Atlanta edition.

 Carol serves as one of NAHB’s chair advisors, Greg Ugalde. She is a member of the Associates Council, past Membership Chair and past chair of NAHB’s Professional Women in Building Council. Carol was awarded the prestigious 2016 Woman of the Year from the Professional Women in Building. She is a graduate of Oglethorpe University and the recipient of the2008 Spirit of Oglethorpe Award, PRSA Georgia Chapter’s George Goodwin Award, the Greater Atlanta Home Builder’s Association’s 2008 Associate of the Year, and 2012 Council Chair of the Year. Carol holds the MIRM (Masters in Residential Marketing), CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist), and CSP(Certified Sales Professional) designations from NAHB.

Carol is the mother of an incredible son, and in her free time, she manages a 20 acre farm with multiple critters. She likes to garden, ride horses, and explore various recipes.
