OSHA continues to aggressively enforce OSHA standards in residential construction.  Homebuilders across the country experience visits from OSHA compliance officers on a daily basis.  Compliance challenges in residential construction are compounded by OSHA’s multi-employer worksite doctrine, which can subject homebuilders to OSHA citations even if their employees are not exposed to a hazard or if the hazard was caused by a subcontractor.  In this environment, it is critically important for homebuilders to be prepared for an OSHA inspection.

This webinar will describe the OSHA inspection process and how builders should prepare for an OSHA site visit.  It will also detail how homebuilders should navigate the inspection process, including tips for homebuilders to avoid OSHA citations and fines.  The webinar also will cover strategies for handling the inspection process when it involves OSHA’s multi-employer worksite doctrine.

Participants will:

  • Learn the key enforcement initiatives by OSHA in the residential construction industry.
  • Understand how to prepare for and navigate the OSHA enforcement process.
  • Learn the impact that OSHA’s multi-employer worksite doctrine has on the OSHA inspection process and how to best position your company.
